The Vectrex was a Videogame system of the 1980’s that competed with Atari 2600 and Colecovision. Unlike other video game consoles, which connected to televisions and rendered raster graphics, the Vectrex had an integrated vector monitor which displayed vector graphics. The monochrome Vectrex used screen overlays to give the illusion of color.
