NORMAL GAME Defeat all the enemies in the area within the time limit, then leave through the exit to clear a stage. The exit is hidden somewhere behind a breakable SOFT BLOCK. What's more, some SOFT BLOCKS also conceal special power-up items. BATTLE GAME A Battle Mode for up to 5 players. Battle options allow you to change various settings including the number of players, rules, and stages. When battling with multiple players, you must connect the same number of Wii Remotes or Nintendo GameCube Controller Configurations as the number of players. To play with five players, you will need at least one Nintendo GameCube Controller Configuration. Start the game while holding the R Button on the Nintendo GameCube Controller Configuration, then begin the game starting from the Controller Configuration Assignment Screen.
